Application Submitted to UK IPO
Your application is filed with the UK Intellectual Property Office. You receive an official filing receipt with your application number. This number is important - keep it safe as you will need it to check your application status.
Formal Examination
The UK IPO checks your application meets all formal requirements:
- Is the trademark distinctive enough?
- Are the trademark classes correctly specified?
- Does it conflict with any existing trademarks?
